San Egidio

Since September I have been working in a food pantry. I go every Saturday and bag food. There are only a few volunteers so they really need all the help they can get. It feels nice to know that I can make a difference. The more bags we make on Saturday means more people get fed on Monday.
At San Egidio we divide non cucina from cucina. So the products that need to be cooked go together and the products that are ready to eat are seperate. This is so we make sure that everyone who gets pasta for example has the means to cook it. If not, they get canned beans, peas or corn with bread, milk and whatever else is available. San Egidio relies almost completely on donations and so far they have been really fortunate.
Here are some pictures of me and Ricky working at the food pantry.
